After owning my first Touch for a few weeks, it is clear that Yojimbo needs to be ported to this platform. (Yes, yes, I know this list is not meant for paging BB support, but it is a YJ "Talk" list, and I also know that BB people watch the list closely). It is a no brainer that if a YJ user syncs her db over multiple machines, she'd want to have it on the iPhone as well.
It would be great if in the long run it worked similarly to the desktop version, syncing over the cloud, but in the meantime, I'd be happy if it worked similarly to Things or 1Password, which now must be synced to a copy on a local machine. It would be nice to edit a db in real time from anywhere, but it is way more important to simply have access to the db close at hand.
If BB is working on an iPhone version, it's also a no-brainer that they'd want to let people know that this is the case. I'm not talking about "feature requests" here, just a simply y/n. If the answer is yes, then current and future customers would be happy, if the answer was no, then it would give people an opportunity to shift to a more versatile platform before committing more data or $$ to YJ.
Those who are interested in a workable if kludgy temporary solution, I have resorted to exporting my entire db, and uploading it to my Touch using AirSharing. No search, no tags, no organizing, but the files are on there and readable.
