Unfortunately, that doesn't work in 100% of the cases. In my case, I worked with Bare Bones tech support and there's nothing we can do to get sync to work. The dotmacsyncclient program crashes every time during the sync. We filed a bug report with Apple and now we have to hope that they will fix whatever it is that causes the crash.
I suppose I could try to identify the problematic piece of data by deleting things from my Yojimbo database until the sync works again, but that's a little too time-consuming. Instead I'll just manually copy my database from my main machine to my secondary machine.
