I would like to make yojimbo my main program for archiving .pdf files, however the inability to edit and save them, using an external editor, is a deal breaker for me. I do like the simplicity and elegance of the interface design. I understand that the binary files being maintained in a database likely has its benefits, but may also be the for reason the files not being editable.
Any suggestions or thoughts here?
I really do not want to resort to Devonthink.
